The average BMW customer is one that expects professional quality and this is reflected in their cars. The BMW family is one of stylish, efficient and reliable cars and this should be reflected in their website. The first thing I think of when I look at the BMW car website is silver and grey.

The colour scheme is not the most varied, but then again do we want anything else from a BMW website? The cars are famous for their typical silver and black look and it is this existing expectation of consistent quality and style that has made BMW what it is today.

The website certainly gives us the feel of the BMW cars as it is a sharp and simple site that shows off the iconic brand that is BMW. Everything makes sense and can be found where it belongs, just like the cars themselves. It does not over do the 'inspiring' language and yet it certainly doesn’t under sell the cars, although they would seem to sell themselves.

Rather than being too clinical the site is professional and efficient and really portrays the BMW image. The confidence that BMW have is clearly obvious and one of the pages on the website allows you to compare the BMW cars to other cars in the same class from different manufacturers. The customer should be assured of the practical reliability of the BMW cars and I really think the website achieves this.
